The city library is one of my favourite places. It is a large, quiet building in the centre of town. It opens at nine o’clock in the morning and closes at eight o’clock in the evening, from Monday to Saturday. On Sunday, it is closed.

Inside, there are thousands of books on every subject. There are stories, history books, science books and books for children. There is also a special area with computers, where you can use the internet for free. Many students go there to study because it is quiet and comfortable.

To borrow books, you need a library card. The card is free, but you must bring a photo and your address. You can borrow up to five books for three weeks. If you return a book late, you have to pay a small fine. I go to the library every weekend. I love reading, and the library helps me learn new things without spending money.
