Leila’s Day
Read about Leila, her family and her day. A simple A1 story about daily life, with key words to learn.
My name is Leila. I am eleven years old. I live in Kuala Lumpur with my family. We live in a small flat near a big green park. I have one brother. His name is Adam and he is eight years old. We are a happy family.
Every morning I wake up at half past six. First, I wash my face and get dressed. Then I eat breakfast with my family. I usually have bread, eggs and warm milk. My mother makes very good eggs. After breakfast, I brush my teeth and I go to school by bus. The bus is yellow and it is always on time.
I like school very much. I have many friends there. My favourite subject is English because I like to read stories. My teacher, Miss Aina, is kind and funny. At lunch time, I eat rice and chicken with my best friend, Sara.
After school, I go home and do my homework. Then I play football with Adam in the park. In the evening, we eat dinner together. We talk about our day. At nine o’clock, I read one short story and then I go to bed. I am always happy at the end of the day.
