Mr Hassan is our neighbour. He is an old man who lives alone next door. For a long time, we did not know him well. He was always quiet, and he rarely left his house. Some people in the street thought he was unfriendly.

One cold winter, there was a big storm. The electricity in our street stopped, and it was dark and cold. My family did not have any candles. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. It was Mr Hassan. He was holding candles, warm blankets and a flask of hot tea. “I thought you might need these,” he said kindly.

That night changed everything. We invited Mr Hassan to sit with us, and he told us wonderful stories. We learned that he was not unfriendly at all; he was just shy and lonely. Now, he eats dinner with us every week. We were wrong about him. You should never judge a person too quickly.
