Learning words for the family is one of the first steps in English. Here are the most common ones:
- mother / mum – your female parent
- father / dad – your male parent
- brother – a boy with the same parents
- sister – a girl with the same parents
- grandmother / grandfather – the parents of your parents
- aunt / uncle – the sister / brother of your parent
- cousin – the child of your aunt or uncle
