My Favourite Place
Read about a special hill and why it matters. An A2 descriptive reading text with key words and comprehension questions.
Everyone has a special place, and mine is a small hill near my village. I have gone there since I was a child. It takes about twenty minutes to walk to the top, but the view is worth it. From the hill, you can see the whole village, the green fields and the river.
I like to go there in the early evening. At that time, the sky turns orange and pink, and the air is cool and fresh. I sit on my favourite rock and I think about my day. Sometimes I take a book, but often I just enjoy the quiet. There are no cars and no noise, only the sound of the wind and the birds.
This place is important to me because it helps me feel calm. When I am worried or sad, I go there, and I always feel better. In our busy lives, everyone needs a quiet place to think. My hill is my favourite place in the whole world.
