1. A reliable structure

2. Stating and supporting your opinion
State your opinion clearly in the introduction, then support each reason with an example or evidence.
- Opinion: I strongly believe that students should study abroad.
- Reason + example: Firstly, it improves language skills. For instance, living in a country forces daily practice.
3. Acknowledging the other side (concession)
A strong B2 essay shows you have considered other views. Use concession language, then return to your point.

4. Useful opinion-essay language
Adding reasons: Firstly, / Furthermore, / Another important point is.
Giving evidence: For example, / For instance, / This is shown by.
Concluding: To conclude, / All things considered, / For these reasons.

- Thesis: In my view, learning English online is more effective than classroom-only study.
- Concession: Admittedly, some learners miss face-to-face contact. However, online tools now offer live speaking practice.
- Conclusion: For these reasons, I firmly believe online learning is the better choice for most students.
(No clear opinion — sitting on the fence) → Take a clear position and keep it throughout.
(Only your side, ignoring all others) → Acknowledge the other view, then respond.
I think it’s good and everybody knows it’s the best, obviously. → Many people believe this approach is more effective.
(Opinion changes between intro and conclusion) → Keep the same position from start to finish.
